Heater temp control

The temperature blend control for the heater doesn't seem to be working any longer - just runs full hot regardless of knob position.



Is it a problem with the knob control or some kind of heat blending valve to the heater core? Any ideas?

Do any of the other controls work? I'm wondering if you lost your vacuum pump.

Interesting... the cruise control only works for a little while before it cuts out. I have patched all the holes in the vacuum line but maybe you're right... maybe I just have a faulty or failing vacuum pump.

Better hope it's not a door in your heater box. Not a fun job.

Don't get your hopes up on the vacuum pump- third gen trucks use electric motors to control the HVAC system doors.

bighammer, I know that my blend doors / recirc doors are all shot - I have no control over where the air is directed. One of these days I'll have to buy parts from heatertreater.net and get it fixed but at least I used to have control over the amount of heat that came out.
