Hey all,

Boy do I feel stupid, I took off my hear valve to replace the old hoses and forgot to take a mental picture of the valve, so now I have no idea the correct water flow. The valve has an arrow on it, now to make it simple should the arrow be pointing towards the firewall or should the arrow be pointing towards the front of the motor.

Thanks in Advance

Brad

the pipe that is coming out of the top of the engine will be pressurized (this line should have the valve) and the one on the bottom is the return.

I had the same basic question when I put together the heater hose assembly's on our Ramcharger and Im hoping I surmised correctly that it wouldn't make any difference which way... or which hose the valve is installed? Pressure is pressure, and it seems the heater core or the water pump wouldn't care which is in or out - it'd still be the same pressure, and the flow will happen irregardless of where the valve is, ja???

So far it's working like a champ... but am I in any danger of something bursting?? I mean, when the valve is closed the pressure builds on both sides of the valve... and it will either hold the pressure or not... . and then open the valve and coolant flows through the core and ya gots heat..... right?

... ... or am I missing something... .

When I did my cab swap I forgot which way the hoses went too. I don't have A/C, so everybodies pics that I looked at didn't help. I just put them on and ran it. I hope it doesn't matter.

Anybody know which line is which?
