Hotshot,
On a recent post i had discussed the good old days where guys we charging riduclous prices like 499. 00 for re-packaged Bosch 275 injectors. When the consumer found out these were re-packed stock Bosch 275 injectors the price dropped considerably. Unfortunately it sounds like you are a victim of price gouging there are obviously dealers still doing that. On a recent road trip i just got back from i saw the prices vary from $275. to 345. 00.
For what its worth you may save the next TDR member the same fate you suffered if you advise them where this happened to you.

Here we go again. Why is it you can't run your own business without having to run down everybody elses business?
Injecter prices range for various reasons... customer support, complete installation kits, proper installation instructions, not just here is a set, go to someone elses website for the install instructions & oh by the way here are some gaskets to install them with, don't know if they are the right thickness or not. WARRANTY do you cover yours for 2 years unlimited mileage? We sell those injecters to our distributers for less money does that mean that we should sell to the end user for that price, I don't think our dealers or distributers would like that. Shops have to have a markup if they are to stay in business, unfortunatly with wages and taxes and all the overhead a legitimate business has these days they cannot make a living on just the labor, they have to have a mark up on parts too. It's easy to low ball the price and just sell of the internet, but those same guys that go shopping for the lowest price don't seem to have any problem calling somebody else on their 800# for a solution to the problem they are having, oh that's right you don't have an 800# for technical... just sales #ad

So concentrate on making your own product better, because you, or any other manufacturer, can't claim to have no problems.

Hey HOT SHOT, just a guess.....
Coastal Diesel Injection in Corpus???

97 Dodge cab/chassis 1 ton,Allison at 545 4spd auto, Brown-Lipe 3spd auxillary, 3. 54's,11'flatbed , bd injectors, K&N filter,Cobra 29 CB, Wilson 2000, electcric & V/H brakes, 50 gal. aux tank, pulling 40'G/N flatbed trailer,
275,000 miles and counting

The truck is still running up and down the road. The gear range is real nice, especially once the 3. 54's were swapped in. Have no complaints on the Allison and Brownie, wished I would have swapped it in sooner.

Piers said it all - good post.
Furthermore you should be careful with products that look to be exactly the same, but are not. For example, you can shop for an inexpensive camera manufactured by a big name camera company. When you compare the price at a camera shop or department store with a discount giant like Kame-Apart, K-Mart beats 'em up bad. But..... if you check very carefully you'll see that although the model number is actually the same (K-Mart and others are big enough to negotiate these deals), the K-Mart camera will come strapless, with plastic lenses, no battery, one less option, etc.
Back to injectors - every business is entitled to set their own price. If you don't like it go elsewhere, but check the details. #ad

Piers and papa joe have said it perfectly.

I love to shop around and find good prices. I also like to banter back and forth on the price a bit, but there is a difference sometimes. And you need to recognize that before playing the pricing game.

Another good way to get parts is from a friend that likes to buy high, sell low. Right, John? LOL.

Whether you are talking trucks, guns, whatever, if you have to tear somebody else's product down to make yours appear better, you simply need a better product!
I have seen this done with the VA and the 275 injectors. It kept me from spending money with opposing vendors for a long time.
