Thats interesting about propane giving off a cold temp from a bottle. It is even more interesting that I didn't require any heat to get the manifold to spearate to where I needed it. Just used some more solid pieces of wood that wouldn't come apart everytime I hit 'em with a hammer.

I sure feel good now that got it done, was gettin' worried there for a while.

Went for a test drive this morning and it seemed to sppol up a little sooner,. but really couldn't tell much as my drive to work is only 8 minutes and mostly highway. Will give it some more tests at lunch and on the way home. Something interesting thought when I had a chance to get on it in 3rd gear, I usually get a large amount of smoke as soon as I stomp on the go pedal and it tends to clear up some as revs go up. But when I tried a pinned 3rd gear run right before I arrived at work, the smoke didn't seem to clear up. I did not fuel adjustments while I was installing the ATS, just made a new wastegate line and got rid of that hard line that went past the exhaust. Gonna have to do some investigating some more today and will let you know what i find.

Just having the piece of mind that you don't have to worry about your exhaust manifold cracking makes the upgrade a very worth while install. :)

Yeah, all the porting and polishing I did removed quite a bit of crack inducing casting flash. Smoothed out all the rough corners and opened up the port volume about twice that from stock manifold port volume. Maybe even more, should have measured to get an idea. Will have to measure it the next time I have it off to get it coated with some real heat coating since the aluminum color high heat paint is already bubbling and probably will start to flake off soon. Still looks better than plain casting color that will rust and look like hell after a while.
