transmission mount hieght for the 47?

Hopefully you'll be reading about it in Petersen's four wheel & Off-Road sometime in '04. I've met/talked with the tech editor a few times, and he was very interested.

TxDieselKid, I'm sticking with the 24v/P-pump for now, sorry bud :)

Hey brayden, let us know when you get that retrans business go'in, I'd be interested in a 1000 series. thanks Ian and nice job on your project!!!!!!!

I haven't done much with it. . still working a lot of hours. I have gotten the truck relocated to our shop on the farm, so I'll be able to work on it a little easier. I put the bed on it today just to make sure that the new frame I built was right, and it fit perfectly.

The next step is to take my 913 P7100 pump to scheids, and have them work their magic on it, and get some of their conversion lines. Gonna have the head ringed (fire) and I'll port it while it's off.

On another note. . Does anybody have a B1 or HX50 (55w) for sale? I'm gonna build a twin setup while I'm at it. . Hx35 in conjuction with one of those should work well.

I've read all the twins threads, hard to gather any good info from any of them though. Any input on a good setup with the stocker is appreciated.

Hope to have some updates for Y'all in the following weeks.

Brayden

If you're gonna twin a 35 the most economical way is to use the BHT3B.

The better combo is the 35/B2.

the B2 flows more, spools better and fits easier.

Later,

Mark

Ok. . Update time. . I've ordered the flywheel housing that I need to adapt the allison to the cummins (SAE #3, Thanks John Edwards, www.cumminsstuff.com ) . It should be here by the end of the week. I got the bed back on the truck just for test fitting and the rear frame couldn't be any more true. I'm now going to start on the front. I've got a few weeks off for christmas, so things should pick up again.

On another note, I think I've narrowed my twin's decision down to the B2 or HT3B. But I've got to replace my HY35 with either an HX35 or something bigger. Do the B1/B2 combo's spool quickly? I'm looking for something that spools quickly but will be capable of 65psi or so reliably. HX40/B2? HX40/HT3B?

Thanks in advance.

Brayden

The HX35/12 w/a 40 compressor and a B2 is pretty quick and should be easily capable of 700hp.

The HY-9 /B2 or 3b is the fasest thing gioing but the wastegate choice and actuation becomes critical.

Brayden... do you still have the engine harness for you 24V? I'm talking about the wiring harness that would have the wire leads/plug for the VP44 among several other things. Just curious since you did at one time offer the VP44 for sale. I didn't remember you saying whether or not your engine came with the harness or not. Or are you still using it? Thanks.

My engine did not come with the harness. Yes I did sell the VP44 and computer too. I'm working on the truck tomorrow. I'll have to give you a ring when I get it close to shape.

UPDATE :)

I just bought another cummins !! It came with an allison and all accessories on it. I'll be putting this one in my truck since it's already to go. I am however putting the P-pump on it ;) .

I'll have pics when I get back with it on friday. Heading down to florida on thursday night to get it.

:) :) :) :)

It's got an air compressor, AC compressor, alternator, starter, etc. . Everything needed. . It's from a motorhome that rolled.

The other stuff is up for sale so PM or email with offers. I have everything to mate a 1000 series to a cummins.

Here are some pictures of my new cummins 5. 9. It is an '00 ISB 260hp calibration. It has a funny looking manifold on it and... :) an HX35!! I was extremely happy to see that. .

Brayden,

Sorry I can't help with the conversion but I will be watching to see how my engine works out for you. Hope you had a good trip back. Was great to meet you and your Dad, maybe I'll be up your way some day and I will get to see the finished product. Good luck,

Roy:)

It was nice meeting you too, Roy. I'll definately have it done by the muncie show this year. Watch this thread for the updates.

Quick update for y'all.

I ordered the tubing for my 4 link. . Should be here by next week. It's 2" OD . 250 wall 4130 CroMoly.

I also decided to continue the 3x5 . 250 wall box tubing frame from the back all the way to the front. I figured it will be that much stronger than stock, and there really isn't much reason to keep the other frame besides the body mounts which are easy enough to make.

Stay tuned...

I know. . I'll try to get some tomorrow. I'm gonna tear into my P-pump and learn a little :) I'll have pics. . Lemme know if you want to see something in specific.

I am very interested in your use of a Allison trans.

What did you get the Allison out of and what model Allison is it?

DId it come with the TCU that you mentioned earlier?

Thanks
