I'm looking for help with valuing my 1999 Ram 2500 with 2nd gen diesel. Looking to sell it pretty soon.

Just under 300,000 miles.
Anyone have ideas?

Couple more maintenance items I thought of.
Replaced vacuum pump, hydraulic pump & hoses. New vacuum pump is improved unit less likely to leak in future.
Oil changes done every 7,000 miles using OEM Fleetguard oil filters.
AC evaporator coil replaced after leak from corrosion.

Last two posts are correct. Thanks guys!
Truck is 4x2 with automatic transmission.
Transmission upgraded to better handle heavy towing.

So in the northeast starting asking price for a 4x2 in nice condition, high miles would be around 12k. I don’t think you would get your asking price but it’s a place to start. If it were 4x4 I’d think 13-14k would not be out of the question. 4x2 is less desirable, your region may be different.

I appreciate the info. Looking at whether spend some money on improvements.
I'm in the Texas Gulf Coast region. If anyone has value info from around here that would be great.

I wouldn't spend money on it aside from a nice cleaning inside and outside.
The chances are high that you don't get the investment back on a 4x2 with that milage even if it served you well.

I would search for another truck(s) just like or similair to yours & see what others have for asking price. You will need to find at least a few to determine the right price range as some become sentimental when determining asking price. (which generally doesn't work out to well) Thats my 2 cents, Good Luck !

Looks like a nice straight and dent free body for a pickup.

Spend the ~$200 to have it detailed by a professional. Clean and Shiny Sells! I usually quit looking if the driver seat is worn to the tore up foam because it shows me the owner doesn't care to maintain the vehicle. Fix the seat if it's a ugly mess. The driver seat should be the second picture in an online listing. Really put ME in the driver's seat with pictures when advertising it.
