Happy Birthday MikeR

A question for the computer experts...

Another $0.02

Yes, before I had kids, I was somewhat ambivalent on the matter. I can understand someone who, has not shared the miracle of conception and birth, does not comprehend the real issues of abortion.

Now, it makes me sick to my stomach even thinking if my Wife and I were completely sick and callous enough to abort any of our three kids just because "we weren't ready" or "it didn't fit our current plans". They wouldn't get to do all of the things LarryB described and even more. :(

What we cannot give in time and effort, to address the issue, we hopefully make up for in our donations.

When the cell splits, that IS life.

Abortion is MURDER plain and simple.

And let the God-less flame on... ...

We can argue and preach about this all day long but until you give birth I'd stay out of it.

I'm neither for or against abortion. I think the gov't needs to let the women decide for themselves. They have to live with the consequenses either way.

I believe that it is wrong in most cases, but I won't be the one judging them when the time comes. Everyone has their own luggage to bear.

I can't carry a child so I don't think I'm qualified to determine if they should.

FWIW,

Mark

Proud father of three...

IMHO

Its not any of my business if a young female makes a choice either way! I have been in that position before. The right to choose is one of the reasons that i gave up my freedom for four years to serve my country. I fought for that right and others for all people in this great nation!I have been around the world and have seen death and fammine! We have a great nation and i would DIE for it for my children and yours to have the freedoms that we had as children! IMHO!

Abortion stops a beating heart!

Funny thing, havent seen any women post! As men we will never have a second beating heart inside of us will we. Its their body until it comes out! Kinda sounds funny, men talking about a womans right to choose.

Is there any money in doing abortions? Maybe it's time for a new career. I have a nice rusty coat hanger laying here in the cat litter box that will do just fine. Which one of you guys will be my first patient?

Doc

Excuse me!!!

Hey painters, I might agree with you, except for the fact that my kids look a lot like me. Which leads me to believe that part of my genes make up theirs. Which kind of makes them a part of me, or me a part of them. So when someone tries to tell me that it's strictly a woman's choice, I say to hell with that. If they don't want to raise it, maybe the father does. It took two to conceive the child, it should take two to decide whether or not to murder it. If the man does not want to be a man and take part in the decision, then and only then, does/should it become strictly a woman's decision. Afterall, they sure want the men to be apart of it when it comes to paying child support.

By the way. I also served my country so all of us could have rights, not just the women.

Oh yeah, and Doc, you need help. :D

Ideal world.

In an ideal world every child would get to swim, pet a dog, taste ice cream, and have a chance to be a kid. However chances are the child would not have love, family, food, or even good health at birth. Is it fair to the child to bring into a short life of suffering and pain? Or take its life before it feels pain?

NO child should have to go through hunger and not know love. And nobody should have to die because of lack of proper medical attention. Thousands of children die of abuse and starvation every day. Where are all these anti-choice people going to get on the bandwagon and put the focus on this?

LOL, Ya, let's cut to the chase and kill em all if they can't have a life that lives up to our standards. !

Who are you to decide?

OK, OK, Champane. I thought about it and you are almost right. There is just a little matter of when the decision should be made. I think it should be made before conception. Any later and it is unfair to the unborn. Classic argument. :)

I like your point Larry. I think we go around to all the children, wait, how about everyone, and ask them if they are suffering in any way, if they are hungry or if they are just plain unhappy at the time. And if they say yes, we kill them. Why should anyone have to suffer, period.

The fact is, these unborn children aren't being killed for their own good, they're not being killed to be saved from a life that just might be challenging, they're being killed for their mother's (and I use that term loosely) good. They [the females] don't want to be pregnant. They don't want to be inconvenienced. They're not willing to give up a portion of their lives, but, their willing to take a child's.

IMO, if you choose to have an abortion because "It's just not the right time. ", you shouldn't have kids. How could someone who has killed one of their own children ever truly love another?

Yea it should be a decision that two people make! But that is not the real world! Some of these young girls are looking for the wrong kind of love. In turn they make a bad decision. Its hard to make a young man stand up for a one night stand! Then she is left with a life altering decision!!!!! Put your self in the shoes of a lonley deserted pregnant sixteen year old girl. how many options do you think that she has? I vote for her right to make the decision of a life time. Because at this point the parents are mostlikely to blame also!!!!

Husband, father, and human being!

OF COURSE THIS IS MY OPINION!!

LarryB, me4osu,

Keep up the good work. Abortion in any and all forms is MURDER. For the life of me I can't see how anyone with a logical mind and a caring heart can be for killing babies. That is all that abortion is. Period.

Gene

Jay, and you thought you were asking me if your sig was ok! Four pages later...

My sentiments are with Mark_Kendrick

"I'm neither for or against abortion. I think the gov't needs to let the women decide for themselves. They have to live with the consequences either way"

"I think the gov't needs to let the women decide for themselves"

You're absolutely right Bill. Problem is they are not deciding only for themselves after the fact. She can choose not to get pregnant. After that, the new life belongs to the unborn. There are then two lives to consider. Pretty straight forward. Seems to me it's a lot easier to be sexually responsible than to take the life of an innocent unborn child.

Make a choice!

A. Keep your pants on or use the pill or other contraception.

B. Kill an innocent unborn child.

Wow! Mmmm. . That's a toughie! Wonder what the baby would say?

Probably at least one big option that the unborn baby does not have. At least she can choose to kill herself or not.

Let me

There are some that would lay a guilt trip on any woman that made a choice to have an abortion. I know several that have had abortions, they had various very bad circumstances. From early teen pregnancy, to incest, to no support from family, income, fathers, and possible birth defect. It was and is not a easy decision to make. It should not be not be a item of guilt and should not be labeled as murder. It should be labeled a BAD circumstance and avoidable.

You step on a ant, it has cells and is alive is it murder? You send your sons and daughters to war, is that murder? Everyday people are killed by each other in automobile accidents, is that murder? Do you believe in the death penalty? Isn't that murder?

All living things deserve to have a life. Maybe you should ask a child at birth who has just a brain stem or suffers from a fatal birth defect and is sure to die in a short period of time. In that short period of time he will cost his parents their life savings, home and mental health.

This all because someone with good intentions said IT was a life and if you take it you will be a murderer. They had a life, it is now gone.

I know quite a few women who hold guilt for aborting, they now have healthy children. They always will wonder about the fetus they aborted. It is something THEY will have to live with, NOT you or I... ... .

Are we comparing a death row inmate to an unborn child? People on death row have usually already proven themselves to be worthless piles of you know what. An unborn child has not had the chance to prove anything.

Is the death penalty murder? I like to call it justice. Others call it justifiable homocide.
