Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Mystery water leak

47re band adjustment

Hi, I have searched an searched, I have not found any threads really newer then 2020 and most were much older.

Is the Quadzilla Adrenaline still considered one of the best?
I have no idea at this point how far we'll go with the truck but I would like to be able to expand if needed and have a tuner that will cover our needs. At this point I will probably sticking with the tunes that come with it ( This is my sons truck and I want to take it easy for a while ).
If we keep it mid range and don't beat on the truck should we have any issues?

I would like it to monitor fuel pressure as well.

I was thinking about getting these with it.

Are there better options? I don't want to regret my purchase.

The Quad is good if you are a computer expert. The auto has it's power limits. An Edge EZ with RV injectors is a fine power upgrade that has stood the test of time. The combo works and works well. I had this system on my '01 for 12 years, never an issue. It will dyno 335/800 to the ground.

Then in '15 I upgraded to the Edge Juice and tapped the pump, it works well too, if you don't want to fiddle with a tuner. It will run hot on a hot day, towing a heavy load. I just drive it with my right foot. 370k on the truck and original VP pump. It dyno's 400/900 to the ground.

The quad has "canned tunes " I believe as well so i wont have to fiddle with any computer stuff I don't believe. I was thinking about the Edge Comp box or a Smarty.

I have used the Smarty S03 for the last 130,000 miles. Easy to use, but it is designed to be used with stock injectors - the RV275 injectors are okay. The tuner is not so much about horsepower, but much added torque at low engine rpms. This works well with a manual transmission or an automatic transmission that has been properly built with a lower stall speed torque converter and converter lockup in all forward gears.

I ordered the Quadzilla and the other items I listed above Its a Christmas Gift for my son. Hopefully I made the right choice. Ill use an old Iphone 8 that we have laying around for the screen for now.

I called Edge to talk about their new Comp box but I think the quadzilla is the better choice and i think their support so far has been great. It would be nice if these companies offered a screen option ( Edge does but it is expensive and can only monitor )
