Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) high performance motor/streetable

I am wanting to put a new cam in my truck and was told that to get the billet cam from EE i must use the fly cut pistons. It sounds like a good time to pull the motor and have some pump magic done to it and get the block o-ringed,head ported. My question is what are all my options of things to do to the motor while i have it out to get some more performance for sled pulling. My truck is also my daily driver so I need to know what should and shouldn't be done during the rebuild so it is still streetable.

Best suggestion I can come up with is to call EE, Piers and others and put a very high end power package together. They are doing much work at the exremes and should be able to give you some details.
