I want to use my 96 truck to pull in a stock diesel class at the local pulling circuit. I watched the class pull yesterday and most of them are 24 valves that probably have a programmer. I have the driveline figured out, so I can reduce breakage, but wondering how much horsepower I am going to need to be competitive. I have a #10 fuel plate with the boost elbow and the 3000 rpm gov springs. I also have an AFE air cleaner setup and 4" turbo back exhaust. I do not want to show up with my "glass half full". I have some parts ready to install. They include 60-86 water-cooled turbo, an ATS exhaust manifold, ARP head studs and a set of the 370 injectors. Any thoughts on my parts list? Thanks.
