Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) How are the 94 2wheel drives

Found a 94 140000 miles talked him down to $2000. What goes wrong with these trucks?What should I look for is this a good deal. It has good tires some rust not to bad. Its not registered so I real cant check it out on the road. When you tap the go pedal and its in gear it stalls is that mabe converter. THANKS

Ball joints,control arm bushings,steering linkage. Your stalling could be as simple as too low an idle speed.
