Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) how do i adjust wastegate rod

i am only making 20psi and my egts climb very fast due to the lack of boost. i was told to disconnect the afc hose to increase boost. if i do this do i plug the hose and the afc? also how do i adjust the rod on the wastegate itself.

just plug the wastegate hose off the turbo and use your foot to regulate boost, if you have gauges that go that far. 35lbs is the going limit on an hx-35. u dont want to disconnect the afc tho, low end will be crap
