Just wondering? How long you have had diesel running through your veins

Nice thread Pit! I've actually had diesel running in my veins since I was in the Army in 1970-71. Our tent heaters all burned diesel and I loved the smell then and still do. (Causes cancer my butt!)



My '95 which I've owned for 2 1/2 years, is the first one I've owned!

I bought my 91 about a year ago, but spent the previous 2. 5 years trying to find one that I really liked. Loved it so much I bought a 92 a week ago!#ad

My dad was running a Toroflow diesel in a 1972 Ford back in 1972. Ran the stock engine 300 miles, then put in the diesel...

91 reg. cab 5 spd, 92 club cab auto, 95 club cab 5 spd, 98 club cab auto, 01 quad cab 6 spd. All over 100k when traded except of course the 01 which currently has 76k plus.

1986. Drove a VW diesel Rabbit for a few months.



1994: bought my first diesel pickup. Chevy K2500

4x4 ext cab long bed with the GM 6. 5TD & 4L80E.



2000: Traded the Chevy in for a new 2001 Dodge Ram

3500 4x4 QC Cummins NV4500



2001: Sold the 3500 and went without a diesel for

two months :{



2001: Bought my current Ram (see sig)



2002: Bought a used VW Jetta TDI



More to come. I'm not done with diesels yet!

I got it right the FIRST time!



Dad had a Datsun 4-banger, a '93 6. 5, and finally a '95 Cummins. Then Mom got her '99 Cummins. And now I have mine.



Dad also has a Case/I tractor with a 12v Cummins, and I have a 2-cyl Deutz.

This is my 2nd Dodge/Cummins, first one was a '93 ex-cab dually 4x4 5 speed. Now I'm workin' out a future deal (with my uncle) to buy his '97 12-v 5 speed standard cab, and build it into a puller.
