Wouldn't you know it, not even a week after I finally installed a resonator to quiet down my dodge (to satisfy my wife) I bought a set of twins. The resonator took that edge off it and also got rid of the drone at about 2200 rpms or so. It worked really well actually. I've got the part number somewhere if anyone wants to know what it was.

Now my question is, do I leave the resonator on or remove it? Either way it will be 5" all the way back to the 5" stacks. I'm afraid if I leave the resonator on, it will be too quiet. :(

What do you think?

I cut out the muffler on mine once I put the twins on and it's still too quiet for me :-laf

But my exhaust exits the rear. That probably makes a difference

they're WAY quieter... too quiet for my taste :( I'm running 5" off the bottom turbo, straight out and over the axle and then the last couple feet are 6" pipe. can't hardly hear it at all inside the truck :(

I am running straight pipe to my 6" miter cut stacks with my twins... It is quieter than my 4" with a muffler was... .

For those that were interested, the resonator I installed was a 5" resonator made by Grand Rock model # M145. The body was 10" long and 9" diameter, I think the overall length was 16. 5". Cost was $64 at my local truck shop.

Much less sound that a single. Wait til you hear 60+lbs of boost coming out of those stacks with your back glass open. You'll smile - I always did. :-laf

That's funny coming from a guy whose last truck was to loud before. How many times are you going to change the exhaust this time? ;) :-laf

lol, the old truck was PERFECT when I was done w/ it! :D (man that was a lot of sound deadener!!!!!!) :-laf

when I say "from inside the truck", I mean windows down... my old truck was nice and quiet w/ the windows up, windows down it was 5" straight pipe beauty! :)

I'm sure this one will change configs a few times ;)
