help on trailer marker lights.....

Patriot, I'm curious: Do you remember the brand and capacity of those trailer tires? That load would have had my Firestones (3195 lb max) over by 440 pounds, 110 per tire. Thanks! Mark

When I ordered my heavy bumper pull trailer in '97 I asked for 7,000 lb axles, 7,000 lb bulldog jack and two axle brakes. When it arrived (Performance Trailer by Parker) It had 6,000 lb axles, two axle brakes but only one wired, 5,000 lb jack and no ICC lights. It's over 20' long and over 8' wide. If the dealer wasn't a good friend I would not have accepted it. Their reply on the 6k v/s 7k axles was; "the tires are only good for 6k" Hello... . !! so what... !! The dealer did change the jack.

My '91 Dodge has LT235/85R16 E tires rated at 3042 lbs, my bumper pull has ST235/80R16 E tires rated 3420 lbs. I think the LT tires have a cushion built in where as the ST tires rate to the max.

Patriot Ram, the load looks good, good job! It looks like you might have a front leveling kit, they look good empty but not so good loaded:) Without it, your truck with that load would probably sit level.
