Anyone know how to remove the plate under the a/c vent just to the right of the radio. It's the spot where the air bag switch is in non quad cab trucks.

Does it clip in or is it bolted in from the back?

Thanks,

Nick

Unscrew the phillips screw holding the handbag hook in, then the whole front bezel snaps off-the little cover is screwed in from the back-it is very easy.

I'm ordering a bracket that goes there to hold my xm radio (or a cell phone, gps, whatever)

From what I understand I need to take that plat out and put the bracket in, it hooks through the opening and screws to the back of the large bezel, then I can put the plate back it. So it basically come out in the slot between the plate and the bezel.

Sounds easy-the airbag switch plug just clips into the back of that bezel-that just holds it in place in the quad cabs-no big deal-just don't be applying voltage to it as your dash might explode :D

Nick - Thanks for the link. Looks like a well made bracket for the money. I didn't see where he had one for the Gen 3 however. I assume you've contacted him and that he has one available for the G3 - right?

Oops - Sorry - I didn't scroll down far enough. I saw the Gen2's and never went on down. Anyway, looks like a nice enough bracket for the money so I'm going to go ahead and order one as well.

I haven't mounted it yet, but I like the quality of the bracket, ease of installation and that you don't have to damage any of the truck to put it in.

I bought one for each of my 3 vehicles and I got free shipping from him.
