I don't get it.

You'd think after 22 years of marriage I'd have it figured out by now. My wife and I have both shook our heads at things we don't understand about each other but this one really made me scratch my head head.







I'm the type that takes good care of my personal belongings, especially my truck. When it's time to change the oil, I change the oil. When it's time to rotate the tires, I rotate the tires. When it has a speck of dust on it, I dust it.



Anyway, we just got back from a 800 mile trip pulling the boat. The truck was covered with mud, bugs, bird droppings, etc. When the truck was unloaded and we had put all of our stuff away, I got out the truck washin stuff. This is where the "I don't get it" comes in. My wife couldn't believe that after driving 350 miles I was ready to wash my truck. She thought I should wait until the next day.



I looked at her with this puzzled look and didn't really understand what she was saying. Wha? Wait until tomorrow? Huh? Why? Why would she think I should wait a day to wash my truck? It's dirty now. I have to wash it... . it's not an option. I've been thinking about it for the last three days. She's lucky I didn't stop at the car wash half way home.



Is she nuts? Or am I obsessed... ... ... ...

I'm almost that way with my truck. It isn't a combination of steel and rubber, it's a living, breathing monster with a soul! Maybe after a few more years with the truck your wife will come to understand a man can have more than one true love in his life. Just have to hope she isn't the insanely jealous type, like my ex was... .....

Steve,your not nuts,I do the same thing after i plow,25 hrs non stop pushing snow,then im out there cleaning under the wheelwells,and rinsing all the salt off my truck,wife shakes her head and says the same thing,why dont you do it tomorrow.

If she thought I was crazy then, wait until she finds out about the $500 on the exhaust and $150 on the taillights. :-{}

My wife forgives me my sickness because I take care of her truck (Ford, I know it's a curse word here) the same way I do my own.



Kinda sorta like putting thousands of dollars in mods into a vehicle that cost around $35k (+/- , depending on where you live and how good a deal you swung).

Steve you know we have a resident Doc on the TDR- maybe you should talk to him(Doc )Your normal- shes the one that is not. But thats just typical reactions from one of them da FEMALES. They got to many hormones flashing around in there body. After 29yrs you would think mine would give up her comments but that mouth is always going. I could say something else but the last time I did I got a strike agin me But I really think you should have a one on one with Doc T. It is just amazing how that man knows(thats probably not the word for it)so much.
