I definitely concur the water stinks so bad so I did have a water filter so I put the water filter in line from the spigot from the outside the main water feed and then there's also another water filter I've got to put on on the RV unit itself it's a big canister type filter but yeah the water really stank and that's not good I had heard the same thing that you do not ever want to drink water from campgrounds because it will affect you in a very very very unpleasant way you can even get c-diff or something like that from the bad water.

Hey Stewart,

You really gotta watch the proximity of the fresh water well with the sewer drain field at some parks... sometimes you get smelly brown water from the tap.

Aren't the axles supposed to be used for support/stability?

Those blocks are pretty fancy. I just use short blocks of rough cut 8x8 from a friend's saw mill. After a few years they are nice and light. I'll end up treating them at some point to keep them from drying out too much.

In the pic I had it raised to level because I was still hitched.

No need for wheel chocks or jacks for changing tires or packing bearings!

I had a triple axle Cyclone toy hauler that blew out one of the Chinese trailer tires on it on the door side on interstate highway in the middle of nowhere, pulled safely onto the shoulder. Quick and easy work jacking it up and changing it. 20 minutes done! Auto leveling system is the best feature on new 5th wheels. I don't miss the days of manually leveling my 2000 Tripple axle Travel Supreme.

Cheers, Ron

My Autolevel does not raise the tires off the ground at all times but I still love the TrailerJackBlocks and yes they are allowed to improve the products should there be a problem.

No products are 100 percent perfect all the time.

I love this TrailerAid Plus!!! Road side repair along CA 101 on last Mobile Suites.

Hey guys a guy I know said I should try turning around the Anderson Ultimate Base and that would put me forward by about nine inches and yes I remember somebody here on the suggested that has anybody done this with the base with an anderson let me know.

I was told it may put some more weight on the front wheels and help with chucking a bit I already asked the guys at Andersen and they said sure try it out but keep the coupler in the same position as it is now towards the RV.

A couple of us has already recommended this, but at 9 inches, this will probably add to much weight for the front axle. See if you can borrow a B&W hitch setup, even if it was adjusted for rear of axle. And see if it’ll change your mind about the cost, or just buy one.

9" forward of the axle on a 169.5" wheelbase will put roughly 5% pin weight on the front axle, and 95% on the rear axle.

3000lbs of pin weight would be about 150lbs on the front axle. I am not sure that's an issue.

9" forward of the axle might induce some cab clearance issues thou.

I do not think that I would be able to open the pickup truck tailgate that is the problem so I think right now if I turn this thing around it would probably be I would have to hit you up in such a way and it would not work out I'm not sure guys I'm using voice to text as you guys know so sometimes what I say looks nuts but if I reverse this I believe I'm going to be 10 in forward so if I'm 10 inches forward I probably I don't know if the rear lights in the rear bumper would hit the RV I don't know anybody know????????

I meant to say that I don't know if I would hit the tailgate on the RV in other words if I just was unhitching so to speak with it 10 that would be I think five in forward of the center of the axle I think I'm not even sure all right guys not sure but who knows I got to be careful though and I want to make sure that the rear of the truck when making turns no it's not going to be even close to the window I've already checked at the windows fine it's the the back of the truck near the lights on the corners they made hit the RV I don't know I got a friend coming over he may help me turn the Andersen ultimate connection base around I have problems with my neck so I can't lift it or you no pulling any wrenches to too hard??????

Before you go making changes I would find an open area with no traffic with truck and trailer hitched and find the point at which the camper is closest to the cab and pull a measurement. And then subtract 10.

Ok sounds good to do that and I measured its a no go I will not be able to let down my tailgate at all even going dead straight in a line so I am going to have to get a BW Companion its just too much behind the center of axle with the Andersen I spoke to Chris Long today he is on most of the BW install videos and he said the Companion will tow way better but may put a few more pounds on the front axle which is fine.
He said I will bet you a bunch that you will be happy with the BW even since I am buying it local.

We shall see boys.

Ok I looked it up I can put at least another 400 pounds on the Front Axle without going over 6000 which is the limit for the front axle so we should be fine there with the companion.

The Companion with the puck system has several positions forward, or rearward of the axle. Also, you have hight adjustment as well. I just installed my B&W puck base and hitch. I'm 2.5 hours away from the 5ver, so it'll be awhile before I know the correct position, but it wont be rearward.
