huh?
First of all Chris, on the first page of this thread you stated Stefan had a possible lapse in memory as to what was installed in your STOCK 47RE. For everyone else's benefit, Chris DOES NOT have a DTT transmission instead, he has a DTT modified transmission (i. e. , DTT 91% TC and VB)... BIG difference! The reason I know Stefan knew what he was talking about was the known fact that DTT creates a "profile" on EVERY transmission(/truck/owner) they personally modify. This includes any and all pertinent details applicable with the DTT upgrade (i. e. , condition of transmission, DTT components installed, power enhancements observed, tire dia. , axle ratio, mileage, type of intended usage, where vehicle is used... altitude etc. , as well as any recommendations made to the customer that were heeded or passed on etc. ). If a customer calls up at a later date with a problem they can refer to this sheet outlining all modifications done for a better understanding of what may have occured and more importantly, how to rectify it.
After talking with Bill I found out that he specifically recommended the 89% TC to you because of where your Ram will be operated mainly... Utah (i. e. , high elevation). Well, it sounds as if you went against better judgement and found out the hard way that you do NOT have the results you desired. Oh well, such is life. If you don't want to listen to the experts be preparred for possible disappointment. Heck, you're not alone here, I went against Bill's recommendation too, I was his first customer for their 93% TC. The only difference I see is that I have a combination that performs extremely well for me... in my driving situations and at my altitude (about the same as the DTT shop in Abbotsford, BC). Additionally, I didn't elect to go with the 93% TC blindly, Bill had installed their test 93% TC (the one Mopar-muscle has in his Ram now) in the DTT Ram several days prior to my arrival as he knew I was VERY interested in that particular model. Had I not driven the 93% TC I would have surely gone with Bill's advise, opting for the 91% TC.
Secondly, I don't think there is ANY WAY possible you could conduct a fair and impartial comparison between the DTT modified transmission and the ATS full-meal-deal transmission. I'm sure there are many others on this BB that would concur.
Thirdly, if you weren't going to take the advise of two seasoned veterans at their respective trades (Bill and Piers), why in the heck did you bother to travel so far in the first place?
Fourthly, I have the tightest production TC DTT makes... I have sat in a traffic jam for a solid hour (I might have moved five or ten feet

) and my SPA peak trans. temp recall exhibited a reading of 225 deg. F. Normally when in stop and go traffic I see a max. of maybe 190 deg. F. Generally, I see operating temps. in the 140-160 range. And BTW, this temp. is measured in the trans. cooler HOT line (this IS where the HOTTEST temps. possible are measured). Also noteworthy are the use of Amsoil's synthetic Universal ATF+4 and a Mag-Hytec Double Deep trans. pan.
I could go on but...
too many statements you have made within this thread have already raised my BS flag, so much so, I called Bill today to see just what the heck was going on. It doesn't sound to me that you have laid all the facts out on the table (so to speak) so everyone can get a clear picture of what transpired between you and DTT (and Piers for that matter).
