Have to be in Indianapolis for a day or two, driving in from the west and then back. Anything we shouldn't miss? Wife and two older teens. TIA :)

Make sure to go see.........

The speedway, of course. I seem to remember a nice strip club across the street if you can ditch the wife & kids. DK.

Yeah the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, but actually its not in Indianapolis. Its in Speedway In, but its all built up together now. While your there you can take a trip downtown to the soldiers and sailors monument, thats kinda worth seeing. If you go south for about 45 minutes( Columbus) you could take a tour of where your engine was built, but i think you need to schedule them in advance.

You could catch an Indianapolis Indians minor league baseball game at the relatively new stadium. Cheap tickets (unlike major league) and a good players (unlike major league). The Indy zoo is right across the street from that. Check the Hoosier Dome and Convention Center schedule. There are alot of shows that frequent the facility such as the boat and travel show, new car show, etc. Not sure if its called the Hoosier Dome anymore. RCA had it for a while. Search Indiana Convention Center and RCA Dome. Anyhoo. . its where the Colts play!! 500 track and museum is great. Indianapolis Raceway Park for some drag racing depending on your time of arrival etc.

Union Station Mall downtown is nice... as is the Circle Center Mall. Take money! :)
