I can say this that Scott knows how to run that truck at truck pulls! How is he and everyone running latley? Just trying to stay in touch.

Yeah... About 3 months ago... He knew NOTHING about diesels... Dynoed at 217 with a quad box!!!! Now look at him! He has a good teacher. :-laf Lets just say he wasn't the only one in his class to pull it out the other end. :D

Everybody is running well... Still hoping to get one of those spinny things of yours on my truck. If I can make 555 with a lil ol HX-40... Think of what I could do with a little help from you!

Get the traction bars figured out?

I run a 40 too but 555, I can't believe it's still together, anything of 450 and I would start to worry a little.

LOL Yep! For some reason this one is still together and working well! Has a 16 housing, Gated at 45. Funny thing is it won't bark (unless I slip the clutch) and doesn't surge. It was made by DD just before they came out with the Jammers. Has about 60k miles on it now!

Re: Phat Shaft 66

Just letting everyone know we now have Industrial Injection (Got Phat Shaft) shirts. We are giving them FREE with Phat Shaft Turbo purchases. They are black in color and have white, silver, grey and maroon lettering/logo. They're Good Looking.

Also Brett, there IS a core charge listed on your website. It lists a $150 core charge. I believe you have previously stated there was no core charge??? But does that mean that the price listed is if we return our HX/HY35 to you guys???

RE: Phat Shaft 66

Sorry about the mix up on the core charge thing. I will have my Web support guy get this fixed. No core charge and you don't have to send me your core. Thanks

Ya there is no core charge.

Put 600 miles on my new Super Phat Shaft 66 today on the way to work, had a Bd. Super B on my truck before - So here is a comparison - (I know the S. B is smaller - but still did well in my truck)

With Power pup on 130 hp + Predator on a wide open run I would hit 1600 deg. + With the Super B, Now with the S. phat 66 on the same settings - Max 1300 Deg. wide open f/ 50 mph - 108 mph. A little more lag than the super b - But use the tst + pup on 90hp, hardly any lag - this turbo likes fuel. For hwy driving egts 750 - 850 deg average - Thats with the pup 130 hp + predator. When this thing lites - unreal !

No surging or barking - Great product so far !

RE: Phat Shaft 66

Sounds great, glad you like our turbo. We have done our home work and it shows in success stories like yours. We do have Industrial Injection/Phat Shaft turbo shirts available now with a Phat Shaft turbo purchase. Call if you didn't get one and have purchased a turbo. 1-800-955-0476

a few 12V questions:

running a 215hp pump, 370's, #0 and 4kgsk.

where can I expect this turbo to surge (rpm) with the 5-speed?

where can I expect it to spool with the above mentioned mods?

I regularly tow 10K+ lbs. Would I be better off with the 12cm or 14cm on the 66?

would the 62 be a better choice?

how much hp do your stage 3 honed 4 flow injectors make over normal 370's??

how about the EDM BFI??

are they cleaner than regular 370's??

RE: Phat Shaft 66

As I have said before, it is not a forgone conclusion that it will have comp. surge. In fact a manual transmission is more likely not to surge. If there is a surge it occurs at 1800-1900 rpm and only under light load on the freeway in overdrive. It is easily driven around as far as every day driving if it were to occur. They are set up to run 50psi when shipped. You will see up to a 300 deg. drop in egt's and have been able to support close to 700 hp. My truck dynoed last at 688 hp and I think I may be slightly higher now. I can add some more fuel because I have little to no smoke. Egt's are good. This turbo spools very similar to a HX40 except at about 7-8 psi it goes crazy to the waste gate. (50psi) Thanks www.industrialinjection.com

i can drive right through the very little surge that i get on a rare occasion, this turbo loves fuel, so i give it more fuel and the surge leaves.

RE: Phat Shaft 66

Chris this turbo is doing a great job. You may be interested in selling it? That would be great if you did find room for pushing a new turbo that works. Call me anytime and we can work out any details that may come up. 1-800-955-0476 Brady

Michael @ HRD finished my SPS66 install this weekend. He told me to take it easy for a couple of weeks to break in good. Said to start low and increase max boost gradually over next couple of weeks. Is there anthing else I should do before I try to really light this baby up??? I love the sound.

i was told to get good oil flow before starting the truck, let it idle and come up to temp and then crack it. no break in period. everything is machined in the turbo and once lubed it should be ready to roll.
