Installing a Donaldson 51" Muffler

Can I install it with a piece of 4" pipe and some muffler clamps, or do I need to have a shop do it and have it welded in place.



I was thinking of these, but I am wondering if I need some pipe bent?

The factory muffler is offset. Unless the Donaldson is offset, you'll need something to get your pipes to line up. I don't know of anyone making such a pipe.

You can make it work without the offset. I had a straight through muff on my 04. i later removed the Cat and added a strait piece of 4" pipe and it all worked fine. You may have to cut and re weld your hangers to get the perfect height, but not a must.
