installing front rancho's?

So, installing the rear's is pretty easy... most complecated part is removing upper sway bar bolt and flexing sway bar to get right lower bolt out.

The front ones look really tough. do you need a spring compressor? Should I just pay somebody to do them?

thinking about driving with the camper with just the rears first - test the difference without the front set. Any comments?

lastly, thought 5 was the loaded setting?... turned it to from 1 to 5 and smooooothed right out.

The passenger front comes out pretty easy. Remove the shock piller bolt first, then the axle bolt, then the shock pillar. Its easiest just to move the pillar to the side - don't try to remove it.

The driver front is a bit more difficult, but can be done with a little dilligence. Follow the same procedure as above. The shock will come out between the hydraulic lines and the engine bock, toward the front. Again, the shock pillar can be moved aside. The shock needs to be compressed before taking it out, so get everything set, compress the shock by hand, and quickly move it out.

The springs don't need to be removed or compressed to install the shocks.

5 is the loaded setting and is where you should be in the rear when loaded. Pretty amazing effect on the ride isn't it? Anyone carrying a camper should look into 9000's. I am over weight with my rig, yet it rides great with #3 in the front and #5 in the rear.
