2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission intake restriction ??

Has anyone tried removing the grid heaters on their 24v cummins. To me, it looks like a huge restriction on the intake from the cut-away photo's I saw. Just a thought.

Unless I lived in a warm climate, I sure wouldn't do it to mine. I see you don't.

I was just wondering if it is a restriction. There is no way in hell that it'll start at -45 which is the low we had this year!!!!

Hardly a restriction I would think. Being our air intake caharge is force fed (Turbocharged)That huge volume of Air under pressue I think isn't being affected by the grid

So that means units like the Banks power elbow is a pile of useless metal. And yes my cummins started at -42 after sitting for 12HRS one morning this year!!!
