While trying to figure out what was up with my blown out fuel pressure gauge, I blew out one of my intercooler boots. Took it off twice and cleaned it up best I could. So far its holding, but I think I still hear a littlle bit of air passing by.

So I ordered up a set of blue silicone boots and clamps.

I recall a posting by Joe Donnelly talking about a 12v of his blowing off the boots on a regular basis. Wondering if folks use any adhesive like contact cement or something like hair spray to get these things to stick better?

I personally haven't even put the boots on mine yet. SO, here is a grain of salt to go with this.

One of the other cummin's forums was touting the wonders of hair spray.

I run Mr Bob's distributing silicone hoses

On both my ctd's as well as on Many of my

Performance and trailer towing customers rigs

They have been proven good at over 100 psi

Boost pressures and will last the life of the truck

Blowing a hose off isn't always bad, it's better than destroying one on a weekend without a spare... . Hair spray will certainly keep them from blowing off easily.

I didn't use anything on mine. They are much better quality than OE and don't tend to slip off easily. Course, that usually only happens on the cooler inlet.
