At some time over the past 6 months, or so, the interior lights have decided to turn off after maybe 4 or 5 seconds of the door being opened or closed. I recall them staying on much longer before. Getting annoyed with opening the door (in the dark) to grab something and having them shut off as soon as i get to looking. Is there a way of adjusting this? I havent looked in the manual yet, hoping someone knows on here. Maybe a key cycle setup like the seat belt chime elimination? Thanks in advance!

There was a thread about this not very long ago, something about a reflash. I was having the same problem and someone suggested that both batteries should be disconnected for a minimum of 20 minutes. I tried it and it worked. Seems this causes the computer to re-boot. Oo. I'ts been about 3 months, and the problem has not resurfaced.

There is a software update for this issue. My 06 model did the exact same thing. Took it to the dealer, they worked on it. Drove it home, did it again, took it back, they worked on it again and finally found out about the software update. Hasn't done it again since. Thats been approx. 6-8 months ago. My last TDR issue listed all the updates for the 06 models, and talked about the interior lights specifically and what the repairing dealer is suppose to do to correct the problem.

I looked through a few different threads, and decided to just disconnect the batteries. I left them disconnected overnight (got busy with other stuff upstairs), but after hooking them back up, the LIGHTS NOW WORK PROPERLY!! As a bonus, my radio presets are still there (how is that possible?). Hard to beat the info TDR provides. I loath relying on dealers.
