Question for the turbo guys

They ride and handle like a big truck, they get 7mpg, and that little red truck can tow more, gets 3 times the fuel mileage, has more hp and torque, and cost less than a third what that big one did :)

What is the engine/drive line in that. A 466e w 5sp Allison? Also, I assume air brakes and atleast an air ride seat. That thing looks awsome, just get rid of the mufflers.

Also, if that is a 466, there is a lot more junk on that engine than there use to be when they were the DT466 engines.

Yep, it's a low torque DT466e, with all kinds of fun emissions and electronic gadgets. Trans is a goofy LCT allison, 2400 or 2600, somethin like that, it's a 1k/2k series trans though, 5 speed.

yup - DT466 (240-260 HP?), allison 5 spd, backup camera, dvd player, air seat, lots of goodies.

didnt actually get a ride in it. i just backed it up next to my truck. i am hoping for a drive on saturday.

sure makes the mighty Lil Red look small, but she's all the truck i need.

$110k asking price BTW

i have some additional pics like the transfer case, front diff, turbo side of engine. if you want to see them let me know

BTW kyle, the super B is doing great. i love it. no probs at all.

I saw one at a truck show last fall, and it looked pretty cool. The only thing i didn't like was the huge stack of springs in the back. If you're gonna spend that much why not get air ride? I think it adds new definition to the word impractical.

Too bad it cant tow a fifth wheel. The 3rd Gen Dodges are bordering on the high side as it is. Still looks cool though.

Horsepower is only something like 220 for the base model. Low torque, too. There is a dealer off I-75 in South Georgia that has a couple on the lot. I don't think they are moving too quickly.

It needs "nuther" stack, also hp and torque numbers are prolly net. My guess is, that pound for pound, it will pull with the 325-610 Dodge.

I really like that truck (although it's completely impractical), but what I don't like is the rear end. That bed and that rear bumper just don't look right to me at all. I think International could have done MUCH better designing their own purpose-built utility bed. Or don't include a bed and let the end user put on his own utility bed.

They had one used at 93k here locally. . Dump bed, leather interior ect... Nice and show quality but the back of the tailgate was at my upper chest standing on the ground. Very impractible. It reminds me of the superbowl commercial where p-diddy gets a ride from a diet pepsi truck to the awards show. then everyone thinks it's cool to have a diet pepsi truck to drive around. hehe, it's just for show.
