Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Is this truck worth it?

I found a truck I might be interested in, and want some opinions. The truck in question is an 01 2500 Quad Cab 4x4 with the 8 foot bed. It's got the HO engine with the 6 speed manual. It has 23,000 miles on it. The asking price is $20,000. What do you guys think, as I don't really know what these rigs go for. Thanks

That's a decent deal for super low mileage. That's a nice setup. I would buy it. Maybe offer him 18 or 19. It's getting harder to find a nice, low mileage 2nd gen.

imo- that is a great deal if the truck is an slt and in good shape. even better if it is a 01. 5 with rear disc brakes.

look around and see if you can find any others with similar mileage. when i was looking for my 01. 5 4x4 auto qc shortbed- low mileage trucks were very hard to find. the ones i found were priced like new ones.



go back and buy it before someone else does.



i ended up buying one with 84k miles(i wanted to stay under 36k in hopes there would be some warranty left) that had the optional dodge 5/100 diesel wraparound bumper to bumper warranty. sadly, it paid off.

Buy it ASAP, you dont find very many with 23,000 miles on it. I paid more than that and mine had 96K on it, but it had some other goodies on it too

i bought mine last september and they wanted $25,995, 25,500 miles, loaded except leather. i would jump on that deal.
