The wiretap I was referring to is NOT a Radio Shack item, but a 3M one from an auto parts store - Kragen, Checker or similar should have them...

What I like about this one is it's compact size, and the fact only *1* wire is tapped, and the connecting wire can then be soldered to the provided blade connector shown, and simply plugged into the tap.
The BEST method of Comp wire attachment, is directly soldering it to the pump wire - but I'm just not contortionist enough to be able to get it done properly...
