Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Killer Dowel Pin on 24vlv how do I know?

How do I know if I have a Killer lurking in my geartrain? My engine on occations just catches. like something wants to stop it. Has anyone experenced this?

The KDP would not cause what you are describing.

If I owned a '99 like you I would be preventing the KDP from causing problems as soon as possible.

Well since I got a bunch of replys,( and I have other issues with it) ha ha. I will inspect it and fix as needed. Thank you blacksheepdiesel. gives me a chance to replace belt, hoses. maybe water pump.
