Lift Pump ['96] Priming Question

I replaced my made in China Cummins pump with another last summer. It was working fine but had 300k behind it, so it was preventative maintenance. Both have weep holes.

Perhaps... just wanted to make Tomblue aware there may be the no weep hole one's floating around.

No way is that a genuine Cummins lift pump. I sell hundreds of them a year & everyone comes in a blue plastic bag & also has the weep hole & also the part # & ser# etched into the mounting flange on the same side as the weep hole. Also on opposite side of pump, main part of the body it says "Cummins ABFJV - Made in China”....the 4988747 pumps are the updated bigger piston pump at 30mm vs the older 26mm #3936316 pumps. On a modified engine, you can fuel the difference in fuel flow. The picture further above in thread looks to be a genuine one.

Well thanks for that information. I can't clarify what I was told in reference to that other pump pictured. Any idea when the revised one with a larger piston became available?
