i suspect he is blowing smoke. The scr cats must be offered using special handling. There has been a change in software and if that does not fix it then the scr cat is to be changed

Thanks Tjany for that update. Guess we need to wait a couple more years to works the bugs out . Just the 07.5 with the first year particulate filters many problems.

You can thank the fine people at the EPA for making the manufacturers design systems like this. Unfortunately people jump to blame the manufacturer and not vote the morons out that come up with this stuff. And no this is not a political post. Just the unfortunate truth to the state of our country any more. People too busy or uninterested to get involved with processes that affect all our lives.

Not to mention taking the fun out of my job.....I used to be able to talk to my diesel customers about their travels instead of guiding them through the
the maze of emision systems

Bob, if it helps any:) I'm at Pismo Beach, the weather is fantastic, beer is cold, and the truck is fine....(knock on wood) Going to see how high the creek is running later and maybe take a ride on the beach and look at the sissy sized sand dunes (compared to Glamis).

I agree with you. I'd be curious to see what the government required of the EPA. I would argue instead of limp mode an annoying tone that sounded say every 2 minutes, or 30 seconds or worse case a limp mode that is limited to say 45mph. Something more reasonable which won't effectively disable someone's vehicle giving them only enough speed to pull it over to the side of the road.

Thanks, check the tide charts and time it right

Drats, threw a P249E code today. Truck got a bunch of reflashes before leaving Arizona, including the SCR one. Snoking

Did you get the scr recall done?

No, if you are talking about replacing parts, dealer said it would be a week before a tech could look at it. We are 600 miles from being back at summer RV resort. We will pass by Dennis Dillon in Boise tomorrow. We have medical issues to get home to take care of.

Advice?
