I am looking at getting a set of 100HP injectors soon and have been doing some heavy shopping. A local Bd dealer is trying to get me into a set of 90hp Bd injectors for around $500 I have found some new Edge jammer stage 3 - 100 hp injectors for about $300 which would anyone suggest are they the same injector as BD sell mostly edge products or are they different. Has anyone had good or bad experience with either.

any advise is welcome. thanks Bill

Don't know about the BDs - are they EDM or extruded honed? The Jammers are EDM and I've had good luck with my 2's. Definitely go with the EDMs.

I am 99% sure that they are both EDM. I have read about the honed ones what does this consist of and why is it bad?

Not bad - just not as good. ;) Honed start with stock tips and flow an abrasive media through the existing holes to make them bigger. EDM starts with new tips, and uses elect. discharge to burn new holes where none existed before. Therefore, EDMs can change the spray pattern and also add more holes. The results are less smoke and better MPG for the same HP upgrade.

One other thing to consider when shopping on $ that if you just get tips you really need to get the pop pressure checked and that can run anywhere from 6-20 dollars per injector depending on who does it for you.

not looking for tips looking for complete sticks. any thoughts BD versus edge jammers. which ones are the best bet.

sorry should have been more clear myself. I am sure the BD's are complete, but I think that mostly edge is just selling tips. I know they are selling some complete, but I didn't realize that they could be bought that cheaply. I doubt that the BD's are the same as edge, but I am doing some checking with a BD master distributer and should know something either way for sure.

i have a set of BD 155hp edms. i went from a set of DD jammer 3(100hp edms) to these. imho i wasted my money, i got more smoke & heat, but hardly noticed any power increase. you get what you pay for i guess.

the DD injectors were a couple hundred more than i paid for the BDs, but smoked less and EGTs were lower

my next set will be a high HP set of formula/mach injectors after my VP goes

Thanks for checking the difference. The price that I found them for is not retail but they are brand new. I believe a dealer selling out his stock.

So you like the Edge jammers better did I understand this correctly. I noticed you went from bigger BD's to smaller Edge. This could cause less smoke and lower temps or am I confused with what you said.

i know with the jammers at my work we have to order in like 6 sets to get some that flow evenly. they aren't very acurate. but that is just my opinion from experience.
