95 Transmission into a 91

Squawking alternator!

I did my rods and mains about 2 months ago. In order for the oil pan to come out, the transmission had to be removed and the engine lifted up until the crank dampner was eye level with the top of the grill.



Here is my thread concerning the job.

I did that job on a Chevy straight 6 many years ago... but the engine only had to be lifted a couple of inches. Do able but not pleasant.

I wouldn't go thru that again if I could avoid it.

And personally if I had to lift it as high as Mony described... I'd just take it all the way out.

Unless there is no other option of course.
