My 3rd lift pump was shot. I installed a FASS. Nice install. 15lbs fp now. I thought the low boost was because of low fuel pessure,Boost still only 26lbs. Could changing the map sensor really help that much with boost? I checked all the hoses. They all seem fine. Thanks

Check the wastegate, might be hung open causing boost to drop off. Maybe check all your connections for the boxes, use a little dielectric grease on them.

A year ago, on a trip back from Las Vegas pulling my TT, with about 95k miles on the odometer, I experienced low power, could not achieve full boost, and boost was lower than normal at every rpm. Stated another way, I could only build about 20 psi of boost instead of 30 psi and boost occurred late. I could not cause black smoke with a heavy foot. A new MAP sensor corrected the problem.

I don't think i have ever seen more than 25 to 27 psi boost with my truck. What is normal for a 2001 stock truck?
