I had previously done work on my truck to enhance the performance from the de-tuned 5. 9. I quickly realized that Dodge had done this to ensure longevity from the power train. I found the TDR and recognized my folly.
I installed Marcos' ECM in my truck today and I all can say is wow!
There is now a wake-up call to throttle response, I will explain later.
The truck now responds with added boost and "pick-up" at lower throttle input, there is also the "seat of the pants" feel. I had installed DDII injectors, an Edge EZ, and a larger exhaust housing turbo on my truck. The power is less but the feel of control is better. This thing is the towing mans dream. I'm not sure if that makes sense but the power with my previous mods felt harsh, there was a push that was extreme during acceleration. The new ECM is more controlled and constant, but response is sure, not on off.
My GF took the truck to bank just now.
When she came back she asked what happened to my truck. Oo. Oo. I wanted to see if the Catcher had made a difference to someone that drove less frequently than us. Guess what she took just now to go shopping... ... .....
Thanks Bob for your help, and Marco for your programming.
