poor old sickly would only run 114. 9mph and a et of 11. 86

seems to me it's like bringing a knife to a gun fight

I think what Stake was trying to say is that even a dull knife can cut somebody with a gun, if the gun is never fired. ;) :D

Loading the gun is fun and exciting, but never firing it is anti-climatic. :(

HVAC #'s were 688 on #2 and 789 with NOS--that's what he told me via the phone about 4 hours ago--tomorrow he puts in some bigger injectors so the #'s should climb--chris

What Happened????

I should have gone up there,, so I coulda whooped up on him, with my little drug free, HX-40 truck.

AWESOME NUMBERS!!!!

Next year 1000HP is going to happen. Yall are SOO CLOSE this year. Who would have thought nearly 800HP out of a 5. 9 Cummins? Just 2-3 years ago 400HP was insane,, Now 400HPx2.

Keep up the research and work. . keep the numbers coming!!

that is awsome, way to go guys!!!

We had a little racing here tonight in Houston in honer. We might win some money this weekend at World Ford Challege as consistent as it is running. :)

The ATS Duramax did about 540 hp on #2.

I beat the Duramax even though my transmission was pitchin fits. Clint did help me adjust it some though and it did run a little better. He was having a tough time off of the line tonight. It was all over the place, skipping and hopping, on take off. My best of the night was 13. 18 @ 104mph. My 3rd to OD shifts were about 3800rpms and yes I have a 24v :( . I need more fuel :{ . I think Clint best run of the night was 13. 26.

Idaho CTD,

You beat him at the track and he still tried to help you out? Sounds like thier was some good sportsmanship there last night.

Yea Kendrick,

Come get some... ... . Lots of talk and no action. I have two trucks for ya... ... ..... 2001 and 2003... ..... :D :-laf :-laf

Did anyone catch R. ebel's numbers?? I thought he was supposed to be there this year. He should be over 500hp.

I'm just givin' a little home town cheering!Oo. :D

KLocklear--what's wrong with swapping in some new injectors to see what happens--unlike you the rest of us don't have a dyno in our back yard to play with at every change--same goes for Joe D--and we know he's been to the dyno a few times before the event to dial in--so just cuz a guy does it at the event; it's not approved by you so what, this is wrong-sorry but I see nothing wrong with it-hey you're not even there and you could roll down the street to the event--why not??? Plus the fact the HVAC didn't get there til yesterday morn might have something to do about it too--I guess I don't understand your comment---chris

what were the other track times? did nowell run?

stake how did the 488rwhp dodge do at the track? did the duramax go slower @2000' than it did @ 6000'?

jim

I haven't seen or heard any #'s yet either---

Keith--HVAC might have swapped injectors last night for all I know--I just know he wanted to dyno with them to see what they'd do --as for the racing end I don't know which injectors he used---and if he wanted to swap em out for racing who cares---he's there to see how fast he can go-----chris

Chris,

I think Keith's thought was that, why wouldn't you go the biggest you could the first time. I can relate to the thought of wanting to play around like some are doing, but who knows.

Someone also might think, "we'll, they didn't do it the first time, so they had to come back. " This of course coinsides with the other statment.

Not taking sides, just trying to throw out some of the thoughts of people thinking "why did they have to change stuff".

:)

well you change things to see where you're at and where you might go---he'd run the injectors in his truck at the race track(12. 0 @ 116), but never dyno'd them--he had some others that were bigger, but no proof in the pudding until you dyno or race to compare what does what---same reason a guy will dyno with a box set at 1 and then switch it to 2 and so on--or you dyno with one manufacturers box and then switch to another and dyno again----Keith knows how the game is played just seems strange for him to make such a comment--but again maybe it was tongue in cheek or I didn't understand what his point was---most likely the main reason is he didn't have time to put them in as he was putting other things on the truck to get it ready--I know he didn't leave until 3pm on Thursday---but at least now he will know what hp gains he has with the different injectors and can make true claims to HP gains between the 2 injectors---which is one reason why we dyno----chris

Stakeman what is a better way to prove HP than on a dyno? At the race track there are many variables that go into who wins a race. Sledpulling is also has many variables to contend with..... The dyno is the best way to show HP!

I do not believe that just because someone does not participate in an event that it makes them scared. Nobody can set their truck up the be the best at everything and in this case it looks like Joe did a great job at the HP event.

Exactly JP!

Sort of like building an airplane that flys real good in a wind tunnel, and then leave it in the hanger!LOL

I would add "useable" to that statement.

i heard nowell's truck only ran low 13's? something about blair having a tuff time driving it. if that's true it makes the argument about driving your own rig even better.

you guys say joe is scared to race well nowell is scared to drive!!
