That little 'ol "local track" has long been a test track for the fastest, most durable street Corvettes, Camaros, and Trans Ams in the world, built by John Lingenfelter of LPE in Decatur, IN. If it's good enough for him... .

Speaking of Lingenfelter, i know he went into a coma after a crash, but any word on him latly? I figure I would hear it if he passed, or got better. Any news at all on him?

Latest Updated Information April 12, 2003

John's current condition is stable. He remains in a semi-comatose state and has recently been moved to an extended care facility near his home. The fractured 6th and 7th vertebrae of his neck have fused properly without surgery and the halo traction device has been removed. Friends and family members remain hopeful for Johns continued recovery and appreciate your ongoing thoughts and prayers.

this is from the lingenfelter

Well now.

Isn't that interesting?

Are you sure? This is an accurate report?

Plus the fact the HVAC didn't get there til yesterday morn might have something to do about it too--I guess I don't understand your comment---chris

Hey Chris, I don't have a problem with this at all. The original post that I was talking about said that he was going to make changes and go back on Saturday... if that's for his own knowledge, more power to him - if it's to later claim "it did this much more", then that's BS. Last year he claimed numbers on the SS dyno, while the DD dyno was the designated measuring stick. This year, the SS dyno was the one, so everyone went there. I know he got there in the AM, but decided to run LAST. If he wanted to run 2 sets of injectors, why not do them both in front of the crowd? That's what I point out.

Sorry I got a some bad information I know the runs for Sickley were very short and congrats to Joe he is a great guy.

Jim

Jim, Muncie is regarded as the fastest track in Indiana. IRP is a National Track and doesn't produce the times that Muncie does. They do prep the track, and usually we get there the day after the Nitro-wars. In Fuller's defense, it was above 90% humidity so I would take that dry Vegas air over our's any day.

I'll tell you the big deal.

We have been preached to on this board about how the pullers all use "rpm, not power, to tow the sled"

How a certain companys cam makes all the power in the low rpm band, "where it should"

"These engines can't handle rpm, and make no power after 2500 rpm"

Etc, etc, etc.

This proves one thing:

Once again, the west is following east coast leadership, in hp. :)

As strange as it seems, May Madness was a victory for the east coast.

And yes, Joe did win May Madness, and I congratulate him on a job well done, although it hurts, because I had money riding on Maddog. :{

How long until the official numbers come out?

CUMINNTSTRKN,

I know the ATS Ford broke. I do not know what. Last time I saw that truck it was running 16. 0's with 44" tires and 8 inches of lift.

Looking forward to seeing you all in Muncie... :D

Muncie should be interesting.

Seems like there are more people there that are willing to show what thier truck can do on the track instead of a piece of paper.

44's??? wow. it did sound like the duramax did well, except for coming out of the hole. i heard it was all over the place. damn ifs.
