you guys will probably take a deep breath ,,,,my 02 came with michelins,,,i rotated then every 5000 on the dot,,,they lasted 51000, the tire shop by me talked me in too coopers,,not bad,,,but had a belt let go around 48000 PA worst roads in the US, probably hit a pot hole,,, so i was looking to replace them with michelins,,,,searched high and low for the ones you guys are talking about 70 000 mile warranty,,no one had them in stock any where and back ordered at michelin,,this was november of 2011 the only tires in my area,,,that were of orignal size and side wall were GENERALS,,, i read some write ups and that lead me to no conclusion,,only having generals one time in my life,,,first car,,,,i said what the heck give it a try its only money right ?? the michelins would have been around 1000 bucks installed,,

i paid just over 600 out the door for the generals,,free rotation every 5000 and i do it on the nut,,, they ride great,,way better then the coopers,,great in rain, snow ,and ice, and from what ive been told,,maybe the only tire left made in the USA,, any one know ?? only drawl back only a 45 000 mile tread warranty,,we will see,,just my 2 cents

What model Generals? I actually have Generals on my Tahoe that is used for work, and they were rated number one in their category on Tire Rack. Something like P245/65/16 size. I was impressed with their traction, even though they seem to have a pretty mild tread pattern. I have to look up how many miles are on them. This truck is 99. 9% on highway.
Only time will tell. I hope they work out well for you.

ide have to go look for the model,,but they are stock size,,im very happy with the generals,,never thought ide say that,,see how many miles they hold up for,, i do rotate at 5000 on the dot,,

The OEM Michelins on my '07 are great tires when the weather is warm. Just about worthless for traction on snow and ice without 4WD. They do get hard when cold. If I lived in a warm climate, I would not own anything else. With 40,000 mi. on them, there's little sign of wear. Tirerack.com is an excellent resource for tire info. They get responses from thousands of users and it's nice to get an average of opinions. If these Michelins ever wear out I will be looking for something with better winter traction.

Which Michelins? Are they the rugged trail ones?

The only problem that I had with michelins were the fact the sidewalls rotted out on all 6 tires on my Pace Arrow. However, I did drive the motorhome to California and back to Ohio 5600 miles and had no problem with them, rot and all. Tread was still near new. Moe

I wish. Would of been worth a lot more. 1996 36ft motorhome. Gone on to someone else. Replaced with an MCI conversion motorhome that gets around 8mpg. Better than the Pace Arrow. Moe

Tire "experts" generally advise that motorhome and trailer tires should be replaced after about five or six years even if the tires still have 99% tread because the tire carcasses deteriorate and sidewalls crack due to lack of use and ozone damage.
