What scares me about getting a manual... . they break too! Pocket book crunch! You gonna play you gonna pay... . We hoping to at least make Michigan City... still waiting on parts :(

Mark, it looks good. Where's the stacks! :-laf Ya'll have fun at Scheid's.

Where is Wade? Does anyone know if him or Meacham is pulling at Mooretown?

gap, you are very right. they all break. fix one weak link. find another. the 28' pulls are the worst. i pulled 28' at crockett mills, and mike got a whopping 28' at union city.

mark, we'll be at schied's this weekend with pulling trucks in tow. the main shaft is a pain in the ass to fix. take trans out. and disassemble the whole thing. glad i am not doing it. well to those of you that will be at scheid's. see you there. staying at the hampton inn. for those of you who can't go. wish you were there. should be a great time as always. later, nick

Well fellas, looks like I am going to miss Scheid's this year. Going to do Vegas in October instead. Poor boy can't afford to do both. Definitely going to go back to Muncie in '05.

I got my '03 track bar and adapter bracket in the mail today (Thanks to Rip Rook). Going to put it on this weekend. Looking forward to trying it out. Next thing will be a fueling/timing box.

Andy and Steve, Congrats on your upcoming additions.

Andy, I like the shirt idea (I vote for gray in color). Been thinking about it and how about this for a shirt:

Have "IT'S ALL ABOUT THE POWER" arched across an outline of the state of Tennessee with the Cummins "C" logo being projected from the Mid-Tenn area. Also have "Mid-Tenn TDR" under the state outline. For kicks, have some smoke billowing from the "U" in about to simulate a set of puffing stacks. Have a small Dodge Ram logo on the front. Anyway, that is my idea. Take it, leave it, or modify it. Will contribute in whatever way I can to the shirt cause.

For those of you going to Sheid's, have fun and take lots of pictures for us.

Later,

Jay

Thanks man!

Ohh! Good ideas Jay! Since Gapper and I work together, we've been reviewing some logos and slogans and stuff. We haven't come up with much of anything yet, but the consensus seems to be that we all like the idea of a picture that has the State, smoke, stacks, and the Cummins C. I'll keep working, keep the ideas coming! One of Gap's that I really like was a picture of the chemical makeup for diesel. Since we're all technically minded in one way or another, I thought that was way cool.

Here are some slogans (sorta, that have hit me right. ) Maybe they'll spark some more ideas:

My Rods are bigger than yours. -(that should make the "others" frown)

Goats powered by burning oil.

Draggin' Sleds and Haulin' A**

Mid-Tenn Diesel Performance Team

I dunno, just some thoughts.

Well gentlemen I'm off for the pull's! :D Oo. Oo. Oo.

Talk to y'all later, I'll be home EARLY Sunday morning as me and Dilbert are gonna tag-team drive straight through Saturday night once all the pulls are over.

If anyone needs to reach me 6 1 5 - 4 5 6 - 3 5 1 9, if I don't answer leave a message! :-laf

How much do we want on these shirts... front, back, or both? Do we want to use the TDR turbo? If we use pocket t-shirts, maybe the turbo on the pocket? The only thing I ask is PLEASE don't use the same ol wore out "I'd rather be Cummin". Jay... if you need some help this weekend, I think I'll be home. . 585-7036 cell... . ain't like your more than a mile away. Who all is going to Mooretown?

I need to ask Robin about useage of the TDR logo. If they'll allow, maybe we could stick it somewhere. I'm with ya on the wore out slogans!! No worries there.

I was thinking a simple logo, like the one of those I attached above, and our name and a tagline (slogan, whatever). I'm kinda partial to Mid-Tenn Diesel Performance Team. I'd like to incorporate the state, our colors, and of course cummins somehow. I need to also contact them and see about some camera ready artwork or something.

I have no idea what that looks like but I love it. Oo. I like grey or white shirts.

Who is coming to the Mooretown VFD pull?

Still planning to be there... maybe with family... . any word on the time? I don't have internet at home  ..... cell# 585-7036. *EDIT*... NOT with family

Where is Wade?

If he don't answer, we'll go by his place and "farm the yard" ;) :-laf

Going to Fort Worth??

transmission is trash. Am thinking of buying rebuilt from Standard Trans. in Fort Worth Texas. Any body got travel plans that take em from Mid Tenn. to Fort Worth & back. Are you willing to haul transmission both ways? Can help defray fuel costs. Ain't in no real big hurry , have not contacted Standard Trans yet and not decided which clutch to get either. Just trying to save some shipping costs.

thanks

Do yourself a favor, ask them if there is a price difference between your 94 model, and say a 98 model NV4500. If its not that much buy the 98. The shift pattern is MUCH tighter and the throw is cut in 1/2 for 5th gear.

Whenever I put a new clutch in my truck I'm going to try and find a 98 or newer top cover to swap out on my transmission. Oo.

is it going to have the fully splined mainshaft and revised fifth gear and nut? what kind of warranty are they going to give you on it? and what is the price? i have a place where i can get trans with a decent price and warranty. shipping isn't to bad either.
