Any Ram guys in SE Florida?

Good Dodge Mechanic in N. Alabama?

Hey Mark (Landscraper) nice show you put on for me turning down Station Camp Rd. today! :-laf

Waved at you from the company truck, but your trucks like mine windows are BLACK so I dunno if you saw me or not. When I cleared the rock wall, saw you stomp it again and get sideways across both lanes I kinda figured you did :-laf Called Shay on the spot and said "Hey guess what 'Scraper just did" :-laf

yeah i saw you and shay today. I wasnt for sure that was you, never know what truck your in. I was heading back to the shop since my day ended early. So we just burnt alot of fuel messing around today. Wheres my snow we were supposed to get? This rain sucks!

Went down that road looking for you a few minutes later with another delivery. PM me your Nextel # man. :-laf

Snow? I dunno man. Yep Rain sucks big time, nothing to do at work... have to keep dodging the boss as to not get sent home early.

Also having the biggest truck @ work (next to Hal's sweet 1st Gen W350) sucks because I can't call out of work when the weather turns bad..... 'ol Hughie calls BULL$*** real quick :-laf

Where did you see me at? I didn't see you, you gotta blow that darn horn at me to get my attention sometimes!!! I have almost talked Shannon into letting me get one, not like yours though, too much $$$. I'm looking at maybe getting it shortly after X-Mas passes. Ya'll check out the thread about the meeting and see if you wanna convoy to Dickson, lemme know!!!

Never saw the FFF--furst ficking flake. Snow that is. I'll take a foot of it if you've got one to give--make this highway quiet for a few hours.

DSL is cool, can't get it here. I lost my ISDN equipment to lightning, and dropped ISDN--128k down to dialup at 36-40k. Cable is fine, can't get it here. I tried to get satellite, but the flipping PC wouldn't work with the hardware.

Any where in Mid Tenn that repairs aluminum wheels? I have one cracked at the valve stem.

Does any company make 16x10 chrome steel wheels anymore? Ive called several dealers today and nobody can get them :{

Got a question for you all. When I start my truck in the mornings to let it warm up, after it's been running for a while, I get in it and the temp is only reading about 150 degrees, but once I get in it and start driving it, it jumps up above that, depending on how long it sat at idle. Is this normal? I would think it would go up on it's own, is my thermostat maybe stuck open? What gives here???

welcome back Joe!!! Who is your DSL through? I've been thinking about maybe going to that.

It's not gonna get to operating temperature if it's just sitting there idling. Especially in cold weather, it doesn't matter if you let it sit there for hours. What you're seeing is normal.

I almost forgot, the guy that sold me my truck is selling his 93 CTD, 2WD, EXT Cab, 200,000+ miles on it. I told him that I would put it on here for him, if any of you are interested or know someone who is, let me know and I will give you his number, he's in Cookeville. Thanks

That is very good to know!!! Thanks

ON the warm up. The best way to warm up a Cummins is to plug it in overnight. That makes 'em real happy in the morning. They'll start bone-*** cold, but I prefer not to treat 'em thataway.

Automatic owners can cheat by engaging the parking brake and chocking a wheel and letting it idle in gear. Running the idle up electrically or manually is the other way to heat one up _a little_ while parked. Axe handle from the seat to pedal is one way--electric seats help. There's a REAL dandy idle rod from Geno's that hooks to the steering wheel and adjusts by turning a knob. And then there's electronic gadgets for the 24/CR stuff, but the rod works on them to and is much cheaper.

Run the idle up to 1200-1500 and things will heat up a bit better, but it still won't make heat until you drive it.

Automatics won't shift out until they're warm either. Just a reminder. Mine takes a while with the DD pan and all. ;)

Traded my #4 for a #10. Might grind the #11 to match the 10. Or get a stocker. Chris wants the ground stocker back.

Hey, I've got leaky transfer case. Anybody dealt with that?

A word of warning from the voice of experience... ... be careful doing this. Before I dumped my auto for the manual I did this with mine. I'd put her in reverse with the brake on (and a rather large cedar tree behind me "just in case") and idle her up to almost 1K rpm's. Left her running like that just a little longer than I meant to one morning and when I came out the "transmission Temp" warning light was on.

hello yall. . I've got some problems with my truck. My (ABS) light stays on and my spedometer don't work. now my trip on my odometer don't work. Talked to Joe Squaretire and the the dealership and replaced the $38. 00 senser that the dealer ship wanted $275. 00 to replace. And it diddn't fix it. called the dealership again and asked what else could it be. . they said that it would take a $75. 00 code reading just to figure out what it is and then from $200 to $800 to replace the modules that it could be. . has anyone else had this problem? any help would be appreciated. truck still drives, just needs fixin without having to take out a small loan if possible. thanks again yall. Dale

2002 Quad Cab, 4x4, white, HO, 6-spd, gauges, 60hp superchip (basically an EZ), 4" exhaust from the turbo back. and hopefully will have another 120hp ish after christmas with injector nozzles

If it's in your instrument cluster, and they have to replace it, that's about a $1200 piece. I've been down that road. There used to be a place in Nashville called Auto Electric or something along those lines that deals with stuff like that.

But the instrument cluster may not be your problem, but it sounds like it could be. I've got an electrical drain somewhere in mine that I wish I had fixed. I may call around over my Christmas break.

I bet Meacham (Cedar City Diesel) still has the instrument cluster out of his '02. You'll have an odometer reading in the 40,000s. But that would be your best bet if you had to replace it.
