Hey guys - how many of you are going to Bowling Green on Saturday for the drag races? I'm planning on driving up that morning, but I need to be back in Hohenwald for the round track races that night so it's gonna be hectic.



It'll be worth the drive just to see COMP461 finally make a pass.

I will be there bright and early! Can't wait!

Joe - I asked the same question in another thread and one guy said they are usually done by "dinner". I assume he meant 12:00 by that, but the racing doesn't start until 9:00. Dennis Peery hasn't responded yet.



Wade - the major heavy hitters will be there [Greg Hogue (COMP461), Keating, Garmon, and several others I can't remember].

I went up there last year and I wound up leaving eraly because I needed to be back home that evening. I'm thinking it was at least 3 or 4 before I left and they were still going pretty strong. I'm sure it will be even more this year with the publicity it's getting. I would highly suggest everyone that can, to attend.

I heard there is a Street Truck only pull in Dickson, Thursday night 7:00 at the fair grounds. Everytime they've had it before, they used the small tractor pulling sled. It's probably half the size and weight of hills sled, manual pull back type. it'll still stop you though! Joe and myself will be there. Hooking up Ol Smokey's new TC.

I get to drive the Red one again. Something is amiss is clutch land. Peter is off today. If I have to pull the transmission, I'll be putting an OFE in place of the FE.



Chris Rudd still won't answer/return a call. His Verizon number is 615 210-8888, if anybody wants to call him. He promised to give me "all the papers/reciepts" of the stuff that had been done to the truck. He hasn't. He claimed that he bought the truck with a bad transmission and put one in. BUT he got a crap job transmission--that Rob Tucker and I fixed. I keep calling and asking who/where did you get the transmission. I'd like to know who puts out half-donkey trannies. The transfer cas has issues too.



So if you get a chance, call Chris Rudd and ask him where he got the transmission and transfer case. 615 210 8888.

had a minor bearing issue. tearing the motor down and putting new bearings in it. it will be ready to go for irp.
