MISSING SOMETHING ON EZ?

It's strange how "identical" trucks (stock ETH's) respond so differently with the addition of the EZ. I know the power increase is subjective, but smoke is not, hopefully we all can see pretty much the same! Bigsaint and Ted say their otherwise stock trucks would not smoke with the EZ, no matter what the setting. I hauled my tractor around again yesterday evening, and mine smokes like a tar wagon off the line and any other time I get into it at low boost levels. I assume my EZ must be at level 3, I installed it right out of the box without looking at the setting.
Why do y'all think different trucks behave so diferently? Is it the truck or the box?

Well, before I headed off to the farm last night, I messed with the wiring and the connections seemed tight. . I started pulling wires and when I yanked on the 2nd wire in the data link jumper, it pulled right out throught the Amp gasket. Apparently it was crimped and the wire cut right off at the factory... . rigged up an connection, and like a light from the sky above, we have smoke!!!... yep, you boys weren't kidding on the increase, well worht it for the extra fun... just hope the rest of the wiring ain't this bad *frown*...
Thx for all the help, thats why this forum is so great... (not to mention it the main reason I started tearing my new truck apart to make it BETTER *wink*!) my dad wants to kill me... . till he runs it, LOL!!!
CCahill- My ETC has the hose wastegate line on the HX35, so, the elbow w/ the EZ worked great...

WLM RAMMAN,

Glad you got your EZ installation de-bugged. I knew something had to be wrong if you could not tell much difference in performance; I see you have smoke too! I'm still very curious why other guy's running an EZ on otherwise stock trucks don't have smoke, the only two variables are the truck and the box, there has to be some fairly significant difference in one of the two.
