LUVERNE S. S. NERF BARS have got to be the best on the market. They come all assembled and ready to bolt on. No drilling required. You remove two bolts from the Dodge frame and replace them with the Luverne bolts that are longer. So simple and so neat. Luverne has two more bolts for extra support instead of the cheap metal strap brakets provided by other nerf bar products. Take a look at their web site www.luvernetruck.com

Thanks for the link on the Luverne Nerf Bars. I'm really having a hard time finding somthing I can hold in my hand before I purchase it. Additionally, the mail order inquiries I've made all say that the bars for the 2001's aren't available yet. As far as I know, there should be no differences from the year 2000's. In fact, maybe I'll simplify things by just telling them I have a 2000 truck.

David, give BIG T CUSTOM ACCESSORIES a quick call in Baker City, Oregon. 541. 523. 3199

His address is 223 Tenth Street, zip is 97814. Tell him Dave from Cove said to contact him. He has a well stocked store and really stands behinds his products. He is not some kid who just sells trinkets for trucks. He used to be a body a fender man. He shop is clean and very well organized and will spend a lot of time comparing products with the customer showing the pros & cons. I'm sure he will know if the LUVERNE SS NERFS will fit the 2000 Ram. Regard, Dave

Kinda on topic, but kinda off topic. Does anyone have "nerf" bars installed with the NW Custom front mud flaps? I have looked at the Mopar bars, but I do not belive that there is enough room between the trailing edge of the wheel well and the leading edge of the bar for the NW Custom mud flaps.

The only ones I think might remotely work are the Westin and the Daws/Better Built ones. They appear to have their front edge under the cab / fender / door seam.
