I was looking through the Mopar accessories book and I noticed they now have flip-up trailer tow mirrors with a side marker light and turn signal built into them. Does anybody have these, or seen them? They dont show a picture. They sell for $495. 00. I would like to see what they look like before I order them. Thanks.

That's news to me. I will investigate further at work tomorrow. If they are indeed available, I will order a set for in stock, and take some pics for you.

I was hoping to see a picture too, I ordered a set anyway about a month ago with out seeing a picture. (dealer said I could send back if I didn't like) I was told that they will look like the factory ones, just will have marker light and turn signals in the mirror. When I picked up my truck last week they said there was zero and over 50 back ordered nation wide. :(

PS: They are heated and power!! Oo.

Yes, they are heated and powered. Yes, they are backordered with 0 in the pipeline at the moment.

Yes, I can offer a great price on a group buy sort of thing too, we just need to see when they start coming in.

I need to check with the powers that be here at TDR about doing a group buy, I don't want to step on anyone's toes, nor do I want to break any rules I am unaware of.

I'd be in if..

Will these flip ups rertofit to my 01 bases and will the wiring work. i was going to do the power tow mirror swap but if i can get ones with lights I'd be all over it. Keep us posted

Even though I got nailed by an oblivious teenager while making a wide right turn while pulling my boat into the driveway, I don't think these flashing mirrors would have helped. If anything, I think they'd be annoying for me at night. The only way I'd change mirrors is if they added a solenoid/motor to flip them electronically instead of manually... if they did that, then maybe then I'd suffer through having those blinkers in the way.

You can't even see the blinker or marker for inside the cab. Plus they pull out instead of flip up. I like them, I'll post some pictures as soon as possible.

Ah, that's not so bad then, but pulling out is probably harder to do than flipping up, while stretching over the passenger seat out the window to put the mirror up/out. I guess I'll reserve judgement until I see it in person.

SKargo, I'm interested. PM'ed you. Looking foward for a pic to see if the shape is better (more up/down rectangle shape design) being a pull-out design.

Are these 2006 factory mirrors?

Jeepdude, when you hook up your trailer do you do it all from the drivers seat? Because I have to get out of the truck and hook up electrical, hitch, etc. so that is when I flip-pull mirrors out for towing, and then when I unhook I put mirror in! :D Much easier that reaching across the passenger seat. :-laf

Scott,

Will these mirrors fit an '00?

Thanks for the track bars.

Brian - aka brian4wd on PBB

I think they are only for the newer trucks. You are welcome for the trackbars.

I was under the impression they were just like the other tow mirrors, but I must be wrong, it sounds like Snoxracer already has a set. I am looking forward to the pictures as well.

Yes, normally I put them up when I hitch up, but I guess I'm the ONLY one here that's ever forgotten to do that until a couple blocks down the road at a stoplight.
