I thought I would share one of my favorite experiences before I leave for vacation,

Last week I took a trip upto Abbotsford B. C. to DTT to have their full race package installed with the addition of my output shaft. I will try to attach a pic with less definition after this post as tdr limits the thread to 32000 bytes. The picture will show that the shaft utilizes a compression spline flange. How strong is it you ask. Unfortunately I only have a Comp drag, B1, and Super Mentals, (According to Lenny's dyno at Dynamite Diesel in Monroe I am a little over 500 Hp. ) After the install it was off to the proving grounds the much feared DTT parking lot. After warming the engine the truck was put into 4X4, the E brake was set and the brake pedal was pressed to the carpet. Followed by the accelerator pedal until max boost was made and held. (I have done this 6 times now. Three in Canada and three at home showing off to my buddies. ) I let the shop do the first 4X4 launch with me in the back seat. After max boost was made both brakes where released and the sling shot ride had begun. First gear pulls real hard all the way through then at 3100 second gear hit in followed by my head into the back window. There was no third gear as we ran out of parking lot. It was short but that short ride is burn't into memory! Another phenomena happened on the way home when leaving a rest area on 5X5 I got on it while merging and when third hit the tires chirped and the truck begged me to stay in it. Which I did! ;)

Thanks to everyone at DTT what an incredible product, where were you guys back when I had my Vega?

Snow man I know that snappage feeling too well. Unfortunately I don't have any shafts available right now.

Sorry I haven't posted any other replies, I am almost done with the R&D, currently I am working on getting the cost down as well. The output shafts should be ready for sale by the beginning of Summer. And there will be more to follow! ;)

JR2,

There a few other X projects in the works that I hope to be ready for production this Summer too. After Muncie manufacturing the output shafts should be a full time job for me. I am still working on getting the cost of the shaft down. A billet input shaft will be highley recommended as well...

The output shaft is a direct replacement with the factory one and fits in the existing overdrive section/case of the transmission.

Hopefully the weather will work out tomarrow at Pacific Raceway as I plan on testing the latest addition to the output shafts. If all goes well it will be the shaft for the trucks that are over 500 horsepower. In the pic it is the shaft on the left.
