My snowmobile trailer tires (2) go flat going down the road. . But I never know it and am always worried that I’m dragging them on the rim etc. Can I get valve stem caps that I can monitor the air pressure in them on the dash in my truck. Might be a stupid question but I need to ask thanks

If your truck has the “trailer tire pressure monitoring “ option, yes. You can get the sensors at the dealership.
Or go with an aftermarket one, Geno’s had one that I bought years ago. I’d assume they still sell them.
If your truck has the option you will see it scrolling through the instrument cluster option menu.

I have the Tire Minder TPMS system, small sensors screw onto the valve stems and there is a small display that you can have in the cab. Display is about the 2"x4" so not huge, and is very loud when an alarm goes off. I bought it for my 5er and used it for both the tires on the trailer and the 2004, new truck has TPMS so only using for trailers now, It has saved me once with a rapid pressure loss on my GN trailer.

EDIT [ I did swap valve stems for steel ones due to the mass of the sensor and I buddy reporting that he had stem cracking on his 5er and suspected that was the root cause, other than that extra step, they have been rock solid]

If you ordered the trailer TPMS you can have sensors, truck would have come with 4, to the trailer tires.

If you didn’t order TTPMS you can add it, or use an aftermarket one.

I have TTPMS and use it with my 5th wheel. On my other trailers I use a TireMinder i10. Both work well, but I like the TTPMS better for a clean dash, and the i10 better for random trailer towing.

I don’t have the TTPMS. So I’m thinking of ordering the Tireminder i10 About $275 free shipping Amazon prime . Should have it in a couple days.So how’s the best way for me to mount this up on my regular cab long box slide in camper..I will only use it a few times in the summer so simple is always the best way. Need some ideas please Does it come with good instructions etc

I would wait for prime days on 16/17 and see if it’s one sale, but there is a $50 off coupon with prime right now.

Very easy to mount. With the camper you probably want the booster, comes with it, even small trailer. I wired mine to an aux switch and used the pass thru wiring and mounted it in the rear bumper so it works with any trailer I tow.

I think the instructions are pretty well written and simple.

A lot of the country I travel is very remote. Alaska and the Yukon No cell service or only one bar . Texting is what we use. Phone calls don’t always work can’t send pictures etc

wait, is it that cheap now? How much data do you get. We currently have Peplink router with unlimited data and no throttling for $39/month which is great most places but if you get too remote in an area without many cell towers you can get slow connection, but even then usually at least 10 Mbps. Nephew lives on a sailboat in Mexico and other places and their Starlink is like $150/month.

Yes, with the Mini you can have a 50$ plan that gives you 50GB of data a month.
All over North America, means you can take it to Canada and Mexico and all the way down to Panama if needed.

By the way, for your nephew. Tell him to move his contract from US to MX, big savings as it is only 95$ then (was 75$ until this month). I did this with mine last winter for the very same reason.
He can find the how-to on here https://www.starlinkhardware.com/how-to-buy-sell-and-transfer-a-used-starlink/#more-1118 as you "sell" your hardware to yourself on anew created account domiciled on a Mexican address.
Took me about an hour for the whole process and being back online, you need a working internet connection aside from Starlink during this process.

Address doesn't matter at all as Starlink is completely paperless by any means.
