BMW pulled the 3.0 for 2018,So did Ram. Read the complaint. I'm sure the selling dealer never mentioned that the 2017 are restricted to produce models only and were let out of jail by court executive order.2014-16 sold violated just about every good faith law in most States and ALL are NON COC.

T&C where do you get your information?, BMW is selling 2018 3.0 X5 diesel cars and will continue, weather Ram will I don't know, nor care I have mine and like it

I think the BMW 3.0 is used in other Applications, O course you are entitle to do as you wish. But maybe you should answer My phone? I known of 5 owners in N/A with puke VM 3.0 just passed warranty, I know of 3 owners on 3rd 3.0 engine. Their are weekly reports you can look find that show engine demand 6.7 3 / 3.0 26 and the 6.7 outsells the 3.0 10 to one+. the VM assembly plant is a rats nests compared to other manufactures. the QC problems are well known... Simply put the VM3.0 is HERO ZERO Status. My 3.0 has been flawless with great mileage, other have NOT been so lucky.

Where are you getting this info from? Last news bulletins I had read had indicated that the FCA had resolved their emissions compliance issues with CARB and the EPA. The 2017 Ram ecodiesel is back on sale. I've not heard anything suggesting that the 2018 will be pulled from the market.

That's the civil Case in CA that the Defendants lawyer are leaking out ..Hell they even said it would be a Good Christmas present for FCA , the DOJ cases is in MI...Read the complaint and stop with the fake News please, Go to Rams Website and try and build a 2018 ED or go to local dealership and try to order 2018 3.0.. I'm shock by how easily people are fooled in NA.

A civil case against FCA doesn't necessarily preclude them from building more ecodiesel Ram's. Also, civil cases against car manufacturers are a dime-a-dozen these days. There are also civil court cases alleging that the 6.7l Cummins in the Ram 2500/3500 has major design flaws; so far, I haven't seen anything come of those allegations.

I noticed that you can't build a 2018 Ram 1500 ecodiesel on the FCA website. However, I don't consider that to be definitive proof that the ecodiesel is being removed from the lineup. That's an issue that can be resolved with simple programming.

I'm not propagating fake news. I provided 2 different news sources indicating that the ecodiesel is back on sale and that FCA has figured out the emissions compliance issues. By all accounts, that is true, as the Ram 1500 ecodiesel is in fact back on showroom floors.

Get better sources.......... I understand the definitive Proof But the Info is Store at the CDX (Central Data exchange) and your sources have no access. NVFEL has no COC to offer to 2018 3.0VM at this time. So it would 6-12 months out is my best guess, Yes I have CDX access products (TC) so I have a general Idea how it works, Just passing on the info to aid those that may be thinking of buying..... some additional risk is involved in purchasing NEW at this Time long term ownership cost ...May increase and diminish Valve is possible. I keep saying the same thing over & over, the VM3.0 status is Hero or Zero. get a Zero that pukes itself to death , at times it 0-3 months for the repair, that Power plant stops being offered and those times will increase to What?

Update, just passed 1200 miles, it ran good from day 1 but I can feel it has has a tad more pep now. This is a great package with Ram and the VM Ecodiesel, I am fully aware of modern diesel issues, but mine will live with 70 % highway and 30 % city driving almost no sitting in rush hour traffic, its not a every day driver, I also have a BMW X5 35d that is a 3.0 turbodiesel, same thing, the BMW will climb a grade in 8th gear at a lower RPM than the Ecodiesel, but it is a inline 6, vs a V6, I think inline will have higher torque at a lower RPM, never the less this is a great package, it will remain 100% stock. Interesting the temps it runs at 205 coolant and oil are where it is, emissions I suspect dictate this 6 month T-6 5w-40 oil changes, and it maybe will be driver 7500 miles a year I expect a lot of future years. Aside from the Ecodiesel, my last Ram was a 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 Dually, also a great truck, but I can see a lot of little things that have been done to improve the truck, door seals for one

I hope so, the X5 is getting 28 mpg the ED so far 24.5 same type of driving but not enough miles to really tell, MPG is not the real reason for the ED it's the torque, love the power it puts to the road
