Saturday morning, the wife was out of the country, in Canada. I rolled under the truck to put in my 4" Jardine system. After reading K_Arts post I was a little leary. I found that The entire 3" system can be removed alomst intact. Just cut the one small extender pipe. The one in front of the muffler that makes up the difference in length between the QC and the standard cab. Cut it in two places just before the joints. Pull the back half out forward, it goes right over the axle. Drop the two bolts holding the down pipe to the turbo, and that's it! I actually sprayed the turbo bolts with liquid wrench before starting and cracked them loose before cutting. That way if ther was problems loosening them I found out before disabling the truck.

The 4" system went up quite easily. The directions needed little help. I had to modify the rearmost hanger, behind the axle. Factory uses two "Muffler Bearings" there. Jardine uses only one. The hanger for the other hits the pipe.

When I lit it up I heard a little deeper tone, but not much else. I had read here somewhere that this system was quieter in the cab and deeper in tone than stock. OK so far. Out on the road. Around town it was a little deeper and had a bit of a growl to it. As I pulled onto Route 19 south I jumped on it. The turbo came on like lightning and there was quite a deep roar. Almost like a lion attacking. Loved it. EGT's are lower. Idle time to cool the turbo is less. Spoolup is faster. Response and performance is increased.

Gotta love it.

ACoyle, boy you're on the slippery slope now :D Gonna have to do some sweet talkin' for the rest of the BOMBs you "need" now unless you can get it all done before she gets back... ... :D Seriously though, the one's who will appreciate it most are these sawed-off rice burners with their windows down at the stop light a little behind you on the right hand side.....

No sweat! Stocked up the garage while she was gone. Most of it's in the door, just needs to go in the truck.

Glad ya finally got it put on and are happy with it.

So is everything on the truck now that you had? I know ya did gauges one weekend, then the exhaust this past weekend.

I had to delete most of my private messages... ... box was full.

What about the injectors? or the EZ?

Injectors reamin to be done. All else is done. Starting to think about the second round. Not much of an accessories type, but the chromed 24V Valve cover sure looked good.

Hands a little shaky about the injectors. I don't imagine that it's that hard. There seems to be more people in the NorthWest that are into getting together for work sessions than the East.

Now that your starting to BOMB, you may want to think abut getting that auto upgrading with a TC & VB, You really will not believe how much difference those two items alone make:D

So Far

1) DTT 91% TC VB

2) Westach EGT, Boost (40 PSI), Trans Temp. EGT and Trans temp are alarmed.

3) EZ

4) Jardine 4"

5) Transfer Flow 30 Gal in bed.

Wondering

What's gonna happen when all of this power meets Mr. Snow.

Didn't know you already did the trans, how do you like what you did? I love mine, I believe Dodge should supply trucks with DTT products from the factory

I was wondering the same thing about snow after I felt all of the additional power. I guess I might actualy have to use 4wd this year, I only used it 3 times last year, 4 tires in the back really help.

I put the tc & vb in in February. The diesel has always been able to break free in snow, even iwth six wheels and 4 WD. A six wheel rooster tail is kind of cool though. After the tc sitting in traffic bacame "different" the truck always wants to go. It takes a more conscious effort on the brakes to stand still. The bad part about New York City traffic is that you can't just put it in 4 WD and go. There are a lot of people. I had a '72 Dodge with a 360 V8 that I could start out in second gear. That would be the ticket if possible.

As for DTT quality:D Customer service :D
