The fuel supply line going into my pre-filter housing has a brass compression fitting with rubber gasket. Cummins calls it a grommet and it's part number is 3923194. My local Cummins dealer doesn't carry it and will have to order it from the Regional Cummins dealer, who doesn't have it in stock either. I've called all the truck repair places in town and no one stocks this part. The auto part stores are clueless. My last hope is a hydraulic supply house here in town. Any other ideas?

Try a Case IH equipment dealer, Case runs a lot of Cummins engines. If your talking about a square rubber packing under the tubing nut on the return lines, John Deere also uses the same type of fitting. May also try an injector pump repair shop.

I went by a hydraulic repair shop. The repair guy told me to just use a piece of fuel hose (diesel rated). Stopped by CarQuest and purchased some $$$$ multi-fuel rated hose. (Yes, that includes diesel) The truck started up and so far, so good. I'm waiting a few hours to see if it loses it's prime.

True but keep in mind, there are a lot of differences. The fuel selenoid, the lift pump are two. I know what your saying as I use the Case dealer also. I am lucky to have a dealer who also has a couple of first gens. That and they don't mind working with me going over microfich and schematics.

I have the one for the molded hose that runs between the heater and the pump, but that's it.

JRS,

Do you have the part numbers for the rest of the pieces of the fuel heater? I need them.
